Sara Burns

Sara Burns is a Director of Triangle Consulting and co-author of all versions of the Outcomes Star. 

Sara pioneered a practical outcomes approach for voluntary organisations in the early 1990s and has worked in this field ever since. Her early work showed how outcomes could benefit service providers and their clients, developed accessible ways forward and won Alcohol Concern the Charity Awards in 2000.

She is author of a number of publications on outcomes, including Managing Outcomes: a guide for homelessness organisations (PDF) and Explaining the difference your project makes: a BIG guide to using an outcomes approach (PDF).

Sara co-developed and delivers Triangle’s training in the Outcomes Star. Most of her time is dedicated to development of new versions of the Star, development of the Star Online and responding to ever increasing interest in the Stars from services and commissioners in the UK and Internationally. 

She is currently leading courses in mindfulness based approaches to stress and has recently published a book on mindfulness and parenting.
