Mental health
“I felt fully involved; it was clear and easy to understand and focused on me as a whole person, not just as a problem. It was a considerable boost to see how well I am. It felt like a conversation; felt like the first time someone had really listened to me. You can really get to know someone and know things about someone [using the Star] - even though you may think you know them well”

In 2007 the Mental Health Providers Forum commissioned Triangle to develop a version of the Outcomes Star tailored to the needs of the mental health field. The result was the Recovery Star.
The Forum is promoting the Recovery Star as the tool of choice for mental health providers and is managing a database through which all Star users can analyse their own data and compare their results with others. Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP) and the Centre of Social and Economic Inclusion are taking an active interest in the development ofthe Recovery Starand there are plans for scientific validation.
Triangle has also developed a bespoke outcomes tool for the Richmond Fellowship called the Recovery Flower and Joy MacKeith worked with the Board and Chief Executive of the Samaritans to develop their overall strategy.
