Children and families

Sara Burns has worked with a number of family centres including those run by NSPCC and Sure Start and NCH Action for Children projects with young parents. Her work includes evaluation and training and drafting a tool - “Supporting Growth” - to measure the subtle but profound changes that take place in families with babies and young children as a result of their work. She is currently working with another Sure Start centre on an Outcomes Star version for vulnerable families.

Sara is also author of “A Path for Parents” which explores how to pursue a spiritual path in the context of parenthood (Windhorse publications, 2007). She leads workshops on the same topic and is developing Mindful Parenting, a course combining MBSR with parenting. Joy MacKeith also has an interest in this area and has developed workshops on parenting and spirituality.

Kate worked with Oxford County Council Education service to develop mentoring skills for teachers. This included teaching NLP to a group of teenage girls and co-authoring the Guide to NLP Mentoring for teachers.  She has also provided training on outcomes for NCH Action for children.
